Who is required to take the Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Training?
Although RBS training is not required statewide, multiple cities and counties in California have a mandatory training requirement. Some of these include Sonoma County, Orange County, Alameda County, and the cities of Newport Beach, Ventura, Salinas, Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, National City, Berkeley, Encinitas, Poway, San Marcos, Oceanside, Solana Beach, and Vista.

How long is the training valid for?
Once you have successfully completed the RBS training, you will be issued a certificate, which will be valid for 2 years.
How do I register for online training?
What is the passing score on the final exam?
Servers may print their RBS certificate of completion upon receiving a score of at least 70% on the final exam.
Do I have to complete the training all at once?
No, the training is self-paced. You can start and review a few chapters, log out of your account, and resume the training at a different time. All your progress will be saved.Hide
